Growing to Better Serve our Customers and Community

Over the past 5 months, weʻve been working non-stop to finish our new butcher facility and, with financial support from Maui County, The Freeman Foundation, and the Ulupono Initiative, weʻre excited and grateful to announce its completion! Chee hu! We were able to build the facility utilizing the incredible skill sets of our harvesting team along with amazing support from great local vendors on Maui. Mahalo all!

What does a new processing facility mean for our customers and community?

The new facility will help us double our harvesting capacity. This jump in growth will get us closer to our mission of helping to balance Mauiʻs deer populations and will allow us to provide 12 new local jobs within our field and butcher staff as well as increased and further processed donation cuts to our Holo ʻAi Program. We are ecstatic to be able to take this next step in keeping local venison orders - for both our Kamaʻāina customers and local vendors - processed in-state.

Also worthy of note, the new facility will help us to process and send denser shipments to the continental US, which will greatly reduce our ocean freight usage and, ultimately, the carbon footprint for our continental customers.

Alongside a new facility, we are also welcoming our resident butcher/Chief Venison Officer - more on this amazing man soon. With the butchering in-house and in good hands, we are working our way towards full customization, with new cuts available on a monthly basis and even the ability to order a completely customizable whole deer. WHOLE DEER!

Sending out so much mahalo to our customers and partners who continue to be central to our ability to keep on growing. Aloha nui!
