At the end of 2015, after our first full year of commercial harvesting of Axis deer on Maui, we celebrated a total of 2,710 deer harvested.
In 12 months, we went from a 9-person team to almost 50 team members and we consider ourselves very fortunate to have found so many extraordinary people in a time when a lot of businesses were struggling to find anyone.

A sense of place
An email was sent across our team inboxes last week entitled, “KAMAʻĀINA Fulfillment Maui.”

The term, “kamaʻāina fulfillment,” although a technical one used by our production and butcher teams, also alludes to an ideal that we want to always be reaching towards.
One idea can hold a lot of potential, but this potential is void without the drive to chase it down, make mistakes, learn and evolve. It is in this process that the idea becomes an impactful solution.
