How many deer?

With the support of Maui County, Maui Nui successfully completed a survey of the core population of Maui's Axis deer in January, 2022, the largest and most comprehensive survey of its kind on Maui to date. Utilizing the very latest FLIR (Forward Looking Infrared) technology, the survey encompassed over 147,000 acres stretching across Haleakalā's western slopes.

Scale Capacity

How much to grow?

In terms of building harvesting and processing capacity, 2021 was about setting a foundation for considerable growth in 2022. We opened the doors to our on-island Butcher Facility last July and are now in the process of doubling butchering capacity as well as tripling frozen storage capacity to meet expected needs in the coming year.
